Hardrock 100 - Chance of getting in from wait list?

So, looks like I'm 29th on the wait list.  Anyone have an idea on my possible chances on getting in?

28 got in off the wait list last year.  Guess I'll be standing around the start line until the last minute to know whether I'm in.

    Been there, done that. Lots-o-gray hair from that experience. I was #34 one year but it seems the number off the wait list gets smaller every year. The avg. has been 32 off the wait list in the past 5 or 6 years.

    Yeah, I was interested in Bighorn100 anyway. Also, I'll be running Vermont 100 the week after HR and wouldn't mind being sharp for that.

    They did the lottery on twitter. Just search HR2011
    They said the final list and wait list will be up on the HR site later today too.

    Thanks Tim. I'm a long time reader, first time commentor. No luck for me with Hardrock. Off to an 0-8 career start for lotteries. Just signed up for the San Diego 100. Good luck this year.

    Based on past history, you'll be running, but won't know until the day before. So that part sucks. You could synch up with someone to be their pacer if for some reason you actually don't get in.

    I know. Nick P and I talked about that on our run today. I need to KNOW I'm doing a race like that far in advance. I'm not going to bother with it. Got too much riding this year and need to focus on the whole process of the racing season, i.e. no wild cards.

    Won't know until the day before? Wow. FastEddy is right about the gray hair. Saw a pair of Hokas on my run today. Should have stopped and said something, but I didn't. Can't wait to hear how those run.
