  1. "The Claw Has Chosen Me!"

I thought I was doing well with my measly mid 4 figures of vert this weekend. However I did draw blood.

Nice finish at the 50k. I didn't realize there was that much vert at Hartman Rocks, but I guess it adds up. That's some tough mountain biking, I've hung out there during the 24 Hours In The Sage and ridden the course. The Notch and the subsequent descent are expert only as far as I'm concerned.

    1. Yeah, it's an expert level course. I had no choice but to 1. drop any fear and hesitation to hit everything and 2. increase my tech skills dramatically during the first day just to survive it and the longer race.

Definitely lots of jagged, undulating climbs/descents. Here's my garmin data from just the run (the course I did 3x on the bike 1x running. Plus we had to ride clear back to town (5 miles each time) for a mandatory check in after the races.

  2. badass... solid work on the run!! I did the full growler on Sunday and 50k on Monday. The bike race definitely put a hurt on me... super slow run for me but i'm just glad i survived the weekend.

I think overall that course is better for biking though...

  3. Congrats Jeremiah! I agree, the course is not really a running course. It's obviously set up for mtb with all the dips and woopty-doos that aren't really runnable. The mtb races beat the hell out of me.
