Diablo Trail Challenge 50k - quick version
1st in 4:51, breaking my old course record from 2010 (5:00). Very fun point to point course with 7,200 ft climb and measured in at 31.7 miles. It got up to 90 degrees but was reasonable for the most part. Great time meeting and hanging out with some super people and a big thanks to Sam and Jasmin of Brazen Racing for putting on such a stellar event.
Congratulations Tim - obviously the "slacker" training is hitting the spot! ;-)
ReplyDeleteNice job, man! That's a pretty stout course, too. Close to CO's Golden Gate 50k on paper.
ReplyDeleteI got crushed by a measly 75 degrees and sun today, I have no idea how folks run fast in heat like 90 with humidity.
Thanks Steve. Yeah, I'm going to drop my weekly milage down to 4 miles, so I can get really fast. Hope you and K are great.
ReplyDeleteHey Jeff. The climb is definitely there but the trails are like dirt sidewalks. There's very little in the way of single track or technical running. Lots of freaking poison oak, though.
Sweet! Nice job Tim!
ReplyDeleteMan! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteNothing else but a "quick version" when it's about 1st and a CR. Great run...
ReplyDeleteGreat Job Tim! I think your on your way to a fine run at SD!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! That race is on my list to do one of htese years. Great prep race for Miwok.
